Dream Beauty Nook

My dream beauty nook is something I think about often especially since we recently bought a condo that we're planning to renovate.

My taste is forever changing, but right now I'm really into dark wood like this mid-century modern sideboard made of walnut. In researching vanities, it's been hard to find the right piece. This sideboard would be a perfect makeshift vanity because of the height and inside storage. I need it to be tall enough to use as a workspace for my clients. I also need my it to be a home for all of my beauty products, and I don't want to clutter the top. This piece fits the bill, and you can see the inside by clicking on Article's website here

When you find the perfect vanity for your beauty nook, the accents are the most fun!

Left to Right:

This round Walnut mirror had me at first sight. I chose to match the mirror to my vanity because I can't get enough of this unique raised wood design by Rejuvenation. You can also mix and match the mirror with the vanity. A brass mirror like this one from, Arhaus would be pretty too.

My friend recently purchased a rug by Caitlin Wilson and I knew her rugs had to immediately go on my wish-list. I love the pops of color in this, Kismet Rug in Coral. It's the perfect color and pattern to break up all the brown.

As a professional makeup artist, I need a chair for my clients to sit in while I apply their makeup. I'm in love with these leather bar stools from West Elm

I like to mix in some metallic accents where I can!

This modern pendant light by Arhaus won't replace the natural light that I need from a window, but it's just the right accent to brighten up my nook. Check out their selection of pendant lights here. I also found this vintage decorative mirror on etsy and this gold mirrored table top tray from, World Market. The tray is perfect for my pretty bottles of facial oils and cream.

These are some of my actual brushes in a marble canister from Target. The vase is by one of my favorite ceramic artists, Claire Parish Pottery. Her creations are always on my wish-list and so are fresh flowers!
