3 minute read

Beauty subscription boxes have blown up over the past few years and for good reason — who doesn’t love getting fun mail and testing new products?! With so many subscription boxes out there, I found it difficult to narrow down which one makes the most sense for me and my lifestyle.

Over the last five years, I have changed all the beauty products that I use professionally and personally to ones with clean ingredients that meet higher safety standards. You can learn more about why I made this change here.

With that being said, there are a handful of clean beauty boxes in the marketplace. Goodbeing is one of them and they asked if I would review their November subscription box. I am so glad they asked because now my search for the perfect subscription box is over!

Goodbeing Subscription Box Review

Who am I reviewing?

The Subscription box, Goodbeing aka the box formally known as, Goodbox.

What is the Goodbeing subscription box?

As stated on their website, Goodbeing is a trial & discovery service providing expertly curated healthy beauty, personal care products and natural wellness products, along with natural & organic health, wellness, sustainable living and lifestyle goods.

The box contains clean beauty/health brands that are fan favorites such as May Lindstrom, Alima Pure, Zoe Organics, and Aster & Bay. And the box will contain other indie brands that are up-and-coming in the clean beauty market. You know I love my indie brands!

When will I receive my Goodbeing box?

The Goodbeing box ships once a month for $24.95. You do have to log in initially and state your preferences through a series of questions that are very detailed and fun to answer — kinda reminds me of a, Marie Claire quiz. You can change your preferences at anytime.

Where do you purchase Goodbeing?

Subscribe here. But, wait… Before you do that, read the Why section below.

Why Goodbeing?

“Goodbeing promises that each product is carefully vetted for harmful ingredients and performance prior to inclusion in the box”

Okay, I am going to get real, real with you all. I only review products or services when asked by a brand after thoroughly vetting the brand. I have said no to review other subscription boxes before from much larger companies. I will not associate myself or my brand with a company who clearly doesn’t have our health and wellness as their top priority. Keeping that in mind, Goodbeing promises that each product is carefully vetted for harmful ingredients and performance prior to inclusion in the box and I truly appreciate that. You can view their ingredient standards on their website.

“It’s the perfect subscription box for someone new to a cleaner lifestyle or for someone who has more clean beauty experience and wants to try new things.”

As someone who has spent five years cleaning up my beauty products professionally and personally, I think Goodbeing is genius and I wish I subscribed sooner. At first, transitioning to cleaner beauty products can be quite daunting when you feel like you have to change everything all at once (I hear this ALL THE TIME from clients). Goodbeing’s box is customized and arrives monthly so you can slowly start to test out new products — it’s the perfect subscription box for someone new to a cleaner lifestyle or for someone who has more clean beauty experience and wants to try new things.

In my November box, I received a full-size Clove and Hallow lip velvet which is a product that I have been wanting to try. This lip color alone retails at $18 plus whatever shipping would be. In my Goodbeing box, I received the lip velvet and FOUR other travel-size beauty products (Juice Beauty Cleansing Bar, Bonnie Cleansing and Moisture Balm, Paxi Hydro-Boost Toning Mist, and EIR Sunset Oil) tailored to me. Plus, in the box were promotional codes for a percentage off from all the brands in November’s box and then some.

How is the Goodbeing box worth the $24.95 a month?

If you’re still not convinced after reading the above paragraph *insert finger pointing up emoji* then let me put it in simpler terms. After receiving a lip color that I would already buy on my own, I received 4 other products that I use, love, and would re-purchase. The End.

Goodbeing Review Roundup

After vetting the website thoroughly and receiving my box, I would highly recommend Goodbeing for someone who is new to using healthier beauty products, someone more seasoned to clean beauty, and as a gift for a budding or seasoned health and beauty lover. Speaking of gifts, you can read about the Goodbeing holiday special promos for December and it includes, Skin Owl — one of my favorite clean beauty brands.

I hope this review was helpful on your search for the perfect clean subscription box. If you are interested in subscribing to Goodbeing, you can join here. Let me know when you receive your box and what products you love!

I am loving this, Clove & Hallow Lip Velvet from my November Goodbeing box. This color is, Sugarbear and it literally lasts all day! Perfectly, pretty for a holiday party and it WILL NOT BUDGE so go ahead — eat, drink, and be merry!

Also, FYI… I am the queen of 5-minute makeup looks, I have about 30 different variations. If you are interested, I linked up all the products for the above 5-minute natural makeup look with a bold lip on my Instagram page. And… drum roll please… I did a video tutorial on IGTV (gasp) on how to get this look. My toddler only interrupted twice so it took like 10 minutes. I told you these vids are no frills so don’t come expecting perfection. I would LOVE for you to have a watch, I promise you will not be wishing you had that time back when you can look put together in under 5-minutes!
