Holistic and Organic Facials in Maryland (Annapolis)
Wow, it’s been a while! I have been busy with summer wedding season and wanted to stay present for that and summer fun with my family.
I had to get back on here though and rave about my amazing holistic facial in Annapolis, MD at Noreen’s Boutique Spa.
All my Marylander’s know that Annapolis is the perfect destination for history, water activities, crabs, and ice cream. If you’re like me you’ll travel just for beauty. For example, when I go to NYC, I want to make sure to visit all the top beauty spots like the Beautycounter store and Treatment by Lanshin for a holistic facial.
Noreen’s facials in Annapolis should be a regular appointment for skin health in everyone’s schedule (for those lucky enough to be a local), but they are (in my opinion) also a destination facial. Before branching out on her own, Noreen worked for years at the Inn at Perry cabin Spa in Saint Michael’s — a destination in and of itself.
With that said, I know I have a larger DC following, so DCists: You should be making Noreen’s Boutique Spa a stop if you are ever in Annapolis for the weekend or I would even recommend to come from out of town just for this facial. You have to book in advance because she is in high demand in the area so call 2-6 months ahead of time. Noreen is also a beautiful waxer and continuously wins, Best Brow in Annapolis every year. You can see my fresh waxed brow in the photo above. She has given life back to my 90’s brow trauma. I could do a separate post on her brow waxes only, but today I want to focus on her luxury facials.
About Noreen’s Luxury Facials:
Noreen chose the Luxury Brightening Facial for me and I am so glad she did. The brightening facial includes the Sorella Apothecary Cherry Pepper Peel. Noreen uses a lot of the Sorella Apothecary line during her facials and you can buy most of the products in her spa. Some of her products are just used in the facial like the Cherry Pepper Peel. The peel was tingly without being too tingly and it felt cooling and soothing at the same time. I knew my skin liked it because it didn’t sting or anything like that, it just felt really good. This peel smooths and re-texturizes with capsaicin, vitamin C and honey.
After all the treatments in her luxury facial including micro-current and extractions on the sides of my nose (where I always need it) and in the crevice of my chin (another hot spot for clogs), Noreen gives you a massage of the decolletage, shoulders, arms, hand, and scalp to relax you, but also to get the blood flowing and improve circulation. Noreen’s massage is such a unique aspect of her facial and that is why her luxury facial is so special and in high demand compared to other facials that I have had.
Lastly, as if all the above isn’t enough, Noreen finished off my facial with the Sorella Apothecary Marine Mermaid Mask. Here is the description of the mask from Sorella’s website…
“Marine Mermaid Mask is an in-spa mask that provides soothing and cooling benefits to the skin. This mask works to lower temperatures of the skin, which helps to increase the absorption of active ingredients used during facials. The gel mask hardens to be lifted off the face instead of rinsed off, and helps the skin feel refreshed and soft."
The Mermaid Mask is so satisfying because it’s the type of mask you pull off when it hardens instead of being rinsed off.
Noreen’s Luxury facials are epic. I highly, highly recommend for anyone looking for a holistic esthetician in Annapolis or someone looking for a seasonal skin boost. I would totally do the drive from DC or Baltimore for a seasonal facial with Noreen.
Until next time!
