Vegamour Hair Care Review
I have received so many emails and messages about post postpartum and post sickness hair loss, so when Vegamour contacted me to review their products, I agreed and had you (my clients) and Natural Makeup Chic followers in mind! As always, please remember that hair loss is usually an internal alarm and could be many things such as thyroid issues, mineral imbalance, and adrenal fatigue. As always, consult with your practitioner.
About Vegamour
Vegamour is one of the few more luxury clean hair care lines on the clean personal care market. They are known for their Gro Hair Serum — a clean hair growth serum that is intended to stimulate hair growth and in many cases can make your hair line and part grow and look fuller. As with all clean beauty in the United States, there is still no standard of how to determine what is actually considered clean and what is not considered clean, so clean beauty is a spectrum and is up to the consumers discretion.
Product review
When I received my beautiful package of Vegamour’s hair care line, I immediately starting using their Gro Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner. The scent alone is luxurious. The best way to describe it is a gourmet Parisian bubble gum meets the most beautiful bouquet of market floral’s.
After about a months use, I noticed that my hair fell out less in the shower, was shiner, and fuller. My only complaint is that the shampoo comes out super fast so I would end up using more product than I really needed. The conditioner comes out normal and even on the slow side (which I prefer). I still have the same original conditioner that I have had for a few months — a little goes a long way.
Next, I started using the Gro Serum and it took a few months, but I definitely noticed a difference. Above is a before and after photo. Left is from July and right is from early October. Same shirt, same weird face, but 3 months apart and 3 months of using the Vegamour Shampoo and Conditioner along with the Gro serum. You can see my hair line is coming in and looking fuller.
The Gro serum is really easy to use. I would apply it to my hairline and my part while it was wet after a shower and you can air dry or blow dry as normal. The serum doesn’t leave any residue and you can’t even tell it’s in your hair once it dries. I really liked that because it doesn’t feel greasy or weighed down.
If you’re looking for the Gro Serum on the Vegamour website, this is what it looks like. All the ingredients are below.
Aqua, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Caffeine, Polysorbate 20, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Callus Conditioned Media, Citrus Bergamia Peel Oil Expressed, Disodium Edta, Limonene, Trifolium Pratense Sprout Extract, Vigna Radiata Sprout Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Linalool, Potassium Sorbate, Gluconolactone, Biotin, Citral, Oligopeptide-2, Hexapeptide-40 Sh-Polypeptide 9, Hexapeptide-40 Sh-Polypeptide-86.
The only ingredient that I personally wouldn’t use everyday for the rest of my life is, Polysorbate-20 it’s a 3 on the EWG - Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep Site. A 3 is fair and it doesn’t appear to be a huge risk so it’s a personal preference for me. Please use your own discretion when using any personal care product.
Another product that I really like from Vegamour is their Gro Dry Shampoo. I use it every other day to add some life to my hair. My hair gets really oily in between washes and this really extends my wash time. It’s in an aerosol type spray bottle and it sprays white. I am obviously a brunette, so with a little brushing it blends right in and it smells really good too!
Overall, I am very pleased with my my Vegamour products. They work really well and do what they say they are going to do. They smell amazing and the packaging is beautiful! They have so many products to choose from on their website, this was just a review of my personal favorites.
I am so thrilled to see more companies care about ingredients all the while crafting products that are high performing. As a makeup artist and owner of a clean makeup/hair styling company, it is so important for me and my team to have clean products that perform and will last — Vegamour is definitely one of them!
This post is sponsored by Vegamour, but the review and thoughts are my own. One of the agreements that I make very clear with companies before I review a product is that I have to be able to be honest. Vegamour gave me the complete freedom to do so and I appreciate that!
