January Goodbeing Box
I can’t let January pass without sharing this month’s Goodbeing box. I am not a cold weather/snow person so this box came as a treat right before the big snow day in Maryland/DC.
If you are just tuning in, I was asked to be a Goodbeing ambassador for a few months. This means that the company sends me their clean beauty subscription box and I share my review. I did a full post on the process to join Goodbeing here.
January’s box gave me all the warm weather feels between the Happy Day Cream by ANDALOU, soothing Ultra Balm by Bonnie, and Eco Armour Shave Foam — I am ready for spring.
Spring, are we there yet? *Sigh*
You all are always asking me for affordable moisturizers that work! ANDALOU has a new line that is registered for trademark called, CannaCell. The line uses hemp stem cells and organic hemp seed oil which is known to have a myriad of benefits including moisture retention properties. I received the Happy Day Cream, it’s light and soothing — perfect for my sensitive skin.
I also received the, BellaPierre TwistUP Brow Pencil. This is the PERFECT clean dupe for the Anastasia Brow Wiz. Why? Because it has that very thin pencil that gives you feather strokes. Did you know that you can get a brow pencil one to two shades lighter than your brow color for a more natural look? I already did this trick, but then I took a master class with Kirsten from Kjaer Weis and she told the class to do that too!
Bonnie, where have you been all my life?! This has to be one of my new favorite indie brands. Who is this Bonnie that keeps popping up in my Goodbeing box? I had to dig little deeper past the amazing balms that leave my skin oh so soft and nourished.
Bonnie is a natural skincare brand made in Chicago by an artist, Sarah whose beloved cat was named Bonnie. Bonnie past away in 1999, but her name lives on.
Sarah’s original lip balm line turned natural skincare, body, and hair care line is crafted simply and made for people with sensitive skin in mind. I have received the cleansing balm and moisture mask — used all of it. And then received the, Ultra Balm. Ugh this line, why don’t more people know about it?! I want everything!
Eco Armour had me at “shave with benefits”. There are very few brands that have our health in mind when it comes to shaving! The invigorating smell of their peppermint and Eucalyptus makes me want to shave more, but it’s winter so there’s, that. I am going to stash my shave with bennies away for summer!
I have had some people message me about Goodbeing wanting to know how to join and is it worth it? Please read my full post here about all the Goodbeing 101’s!
My piece of subscription box advice is… if you are looking to switch to cleaner products and don’t know where to start, subscription boxes are an affordable and fun way to try/test new products! Goodbeing products are completely vetted. I trust them and I highly recommend. I have also been asked, how can I broaden my awareness of clean beauty brands? That is such a good question! I follow a few really good clean beauty bloggers and I learn so much through them. I am not getting sponsored or payed in anyway to say this — the Goodbeing blog is really good. They have done some really fun interviews with some of my favorite clean beauty brands (Wyld Skincare, Clove & Hallow, Suntegrity) just to name a few. I have linked their blog here.
